Hi all. I've been inundated with prayer requests this week. The one that I heard today is for my friend's daughter. She is 17ish and has ADHD and has behavior defiant disorder. She's caused her mom a lot of heartache throughout her life....and she's been complaining that something has been hanging out of her v. opening.... she had the doctors mystified because they couldn't find anything...apparently it's been going back up inside. Yesterday she was able to get a picture of what she was talking about, and the doc had her come in right away. She had surgery this morning to remove it, and it was a malignant cancer growth. The doctor, who is in his 60s, has said he's never seen this before. I can't believe what I've heard. The girl will see an oncologist on Monday and have treatment from there. Her sister was diagnosed with Diabetes last year, and the family is having tremendous financial difficulty as well. They are in dire need of prayer. There are a lot of tragedies the family is working on at the same time, so I give them to you my friends in an act of trust in the community of prayer.
Thank you.
Take Care and God Bless, Sarah

Thank you. I know the girl has to go back for more surgery on Monday, and then she will see the oncologist who will determine the entire treatment....It is just so shocking and scary. My friend said thank you many times when I told her I was putting her niece on the prayer line. Please keep praying and pass on the request. I'll update you when I can. I worry about such stupid things in comparison...the lawsuit, money, debt....all stupid worries in comparison to one's health. Sad.

I just got an update yesterday. She has to have a total hysterectomy, but due to the swelling from the first surgery, it can't be for three weeks. The oncologist said that she may also have to undergo chemo and radiation, but he won't know for sure until the uterus is removed. I'm still in shock when I think about her, and I try to put my "issues" in perspective. It doesn't always work, but it my anxieties are nothing in the big scheme of things; whereas hers....they are life and death. Thanks for the prayers. Please keep them coming!

Thank you all. Unfortunately, because of the death of my brother in law, I was unable to be with Cassie for her surgery. It took place on the last Friday in April. Naturally, Cassie is having a hard time knwoing that she had to have a total hysterectomy. Both she and her family are waiting to hear if she will need chemo and radiation. The results have not yet come back. She is home and recouperating. Thank you for your prayers. God bless you all!

I just got the phone call.... it is worse than thought. The cancer had reached the lymph nodes in the uterus area. Cassie will have to have intense radiation and chemo treatments. The family is waiting for the radiologist to call to make the appointment. THey are in complete shock... first she has a cancer that is rare in people over 45 and it is in a 17 year old; now, it looks like it has spread and she needs aggressive treatment. I'm not sure how much more my friend and her family can take. They've had a lot of personal issues this year and a lot of illnesses strike the family. Please up the ante of your prayers again for them if you will and put them on the prayer chains that you have as well. Thank you so much.
