Please pray for the daughter of a former friend of mine. We just learned that she is being molested and has been for a year. Her mother knew about it and made her lie about it when she tried to tell once before so that her stepdad wouldn't go to jail. She told her "daddy" was sorry and it wouldn't happen again. I am sick over it, she is with her grandmother, police know about it and charges are being made. Call me a sinner or what ever but I hope they both rot in jail and those kids live with their grandparents for the rest of their childhood. I don't hate my former friend and her husband, but I'm struggling with it.

Yes. Let's pray for them.

This is terribly tragic. I'm old and gray, but still haven't recovered completely from childhood sexual abuse. It just doesn't go away, despite all my attempts at forgiveness and lots of prayer.

It's great to know the children will be with their grandparents. Are the grandparents young enough to keep the kids until adulthood?

Yes, the grandparents are plenty young enough. I have offered to help in any way that I can though. Her grandfather is still working two jobs one with city and the other pizza delivery.

Thanks to everyone praying. This girl is very close to our family.

Tee, I just read this one. How tragic and just simply disgusting. I don't know how this can happen to begin with and then to make a child lie about it. At the risk of sounding judgemental myself, I'm not sure which is worse. I will continue to keep you and your intentions, including this child whose soul has been pierced and her grandparents who take up additional responsibilities, in my prayers. I'm sorry this pain has entered another life and rippled like waves from that. It's so sad.

Take Care and God Bless,
Sarah

This makes me so sad. How terrible for a family member to betray the trust of a child. Lord we ask you in the name of Jesus Christ to comfort your child. Send your dear mother to hold her and let her know how much you love her. Send Saint Joseph to comfort her and love her. Help her Jesus, to forgive herself and to forgive her stepfather and her mother. And help her to forgive you Lord. Thank you Lord that we will not die for our father’s sin. Thank you Lord that we have done what is just and right and have been careful to keep your decrees, we will surely live. In the name of Jesus Christ. Ezekiel 18: 17-20
Thank you Lord that it is written that he who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. It is written that the reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devils work. Thank you Lord that the works of the devil are destroyed in each of these people that we lift to you this day. In the name of Jesus Christ. 1 John 3:8

Thank you all for all your prayers. It means alot knowing there are others storming heaven for them too.

Update: DHR has placed all 3 children with the grandparents until further notice, the step father is in jail on 20,000 bond and is looking at 20-life, the mother isn't looking at any charges at present, but her mother is going to be talking to a detective in the next few days to see about getting that changed, the grandparents have also started custody proceedings. I wish they would get a lawyer, but the grandfather is having mixed feelings and at one point blamed the girl for not slapping her step father or fighting him until I reminded him in front of everyone just what abuse does to a person, let alone a petite 13 yr. old girl against a 200lb man at least. Matt and I are helping in whatever way we can. I will have them here at my home Sun. and Mon. night while their grandmother goes into surgery, then I'll be helping for the next two weeks at her home while she's recovering from her hysterectomy (sp?).
