This is a beautiful prayer with beautiful promises. I'm not sure I can do it right now, as I'm trying to learn to say the rosary again, but someday I'd like to. Thanks for sharing.

Take Care and God Bless,
Sarah

I'm glad you liked it. That website has lots of good stuff.

The Rosary is great, but I wish I didn't become so distracted while praying it.

Do you know any anti-distraction methods?

Maybe just about everyone has this problem. My wife bought a rather large, framed print of Our Lady Queen of the Angels for me at Christmas. Now when we say the Rosary I pull my chair around and sit facing the picture. That helps a lot to keep me focused. Of course, I still get distracted, but the icon makes things a lot better when I keep fixed on it.

Thanks. Good idea! Icons were created for just this purpose. Perhaps a statue. Or a votive candle.

I try to play Marian music or music that fits the various mysteries that I'm on while praying the rosary.... or I try to focus on one Bible quote that is appropriate for the mystery ... or I use a CD with a pre-recorded rosary and look at appropriate pictures.... or if I do still get distracted, I try to just give that distraction to the Blessed MOther to take to Her Son. I figure it is a weakness or a message or maybe a little bit of both if it is that persistent, and regardless, it is best given to Her and then I just keep praying. When I feel down about it, I try to remember that at least I'm trying and that we are actually our strongest when we are our weakest because it takes more strength to pray when we are distracted or feeling distance..... of course, I have just started to pray the rosary again when I used to be an avid rosary prayerer, but these are things I used to do and am starting to do again.

Take Care and God Bless,
Sarah

That's a good idea, too. Thanks!

And, of course, the YouTube videos might work...

In the absence of pictures, try closing your eyes when you pray the rosary. It sure works for me.

These are wonderful inspirations. My personal rosary favorite is a CD by Dana and Fr. Scanlan. Her voice is so beautiful and she has many other Catholic music albums - I remind myself that 'singing to god is praying twice'.

When I was in the Legion of Mary, our Spiritual Director told us that he used to have a lot of problems praying until a friend told him to look at Jesus on the Cross and meditation on each part of the cross the head the side where the lance hit him etc, he told us that once you are one with Christ you will never have your mind wondering again, and he was right
