How sad Sunday night when I saw Dr Charles Stanley on TV answering question on praying for the dead.He said "absoluetly NOT". Furter stated there is no where in Bible that says to pray for the dea.
In 2orr it tells us that Paul said "it is a good thing to pray for the dead. So many people see that. The dead need all the prayers we can send.

I'm not sure who Dr Stanley is....is he Catholic? Interesting how the King James and other Protestant versions of the Bible leave out the books that reveal truths about Purgatory.....very deliberate on Martin Luther's part. And unfortuntately for Luther, he came to realize that "it may be more difficult to live Catholic, but it would have been easier to die Catholic."

Take Care and God Bless,
Sarah
