I'm sitting here watching the Sound of Music and just loving it as usual. There are so many good movies from when I was a kid that are just soooo goodhearted. WHy is it that we can't have more of those types of movies made now, right? Really kind of makes me go down memory lane, for as a kid we watched all those movies with solid values and good messages. Too bad that there aren't very many anymore.
Just a commentary from the thoughts of Sarah. What other movies are like this that just really resonate as wholesome? Tv shows? I bought the Little House on the Praire series so my girls have some good - old-fashioned movies to watch to help entertain in a more positive way. Even a lot of the Disney movies have bad themes and can be disturbing - after all, how is it that a mermaid breaks her father's rules and is actually rewarded for it in the long run....BUT IT ALL TURNS OUT IN HER FAVOR???!!! WHAT'S THAT ABOUT? How does that show our little ones that parents must be obeyed?
Got any good, wholesome movies you guys like to watch? any you want to sharE? TV shows?
