Hi all. I'm feeling very overwhelmed in anxiety again lately.
The doc just told my husband he is on the fast track for dying young. He is diabetic and doesn't take care of himself. He needs to lose 60 pounds and start counting his carbs/sugars....He doesn't have the self control. I have tried several different diets with him. He cheats. I even count out the carbs for him and portion things for him and he cheats. He eats during the day when I'm at school.... he just can't gain control of himself.
Me - I'm overwhelmed with anxiety from the move and the work that goes with it - our house is awreck and I just can't keep up. I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but I'll tell you, right now, I just want to hide my head and quit early. My older students (18) are obstinate, my younger students (8th graders) are trying to prepare for a state test, and my husband is traveling all the time.... soon to be all five work days. I don't know how to keep up with all the things I need to do.... laundry, the bathrooms, moving... I want to scream.
And money - uh. debts....
Please pray for me and for peace for me and so that I can see God in my life, feel Him there, and feel a strength that I know I don't have. Please pray for my husband to gain some self control, stop buying candy bars, start counting carbs and exersizing so he can be around for my family....
I've said before, I know there are people who are worse off than me. But I just can't seem to handle what I do have sometimes.
Dear Blessed Mother, I come to you to ask for peace in my heart and in my family. I'm worn out with the babies crying and screaming and not eating and not sleeping....I'm worn out tyring to get Andy to take care of himself....I'm worn out correcting and teaching and trying to come home to cook, then clean, then work on moving. I just don't have it in me Dear Mother. Please interced for me for strength and listen to the prayers of my friends for the same that You may successfully lead my family through me. Also, Dear Mother, please bless the intentions of all forum members, and specifically those who have asked for specific requests on the forum.... we need You, Your help, Your guidance, Your relief, Your peace, Your support.... so we pray....
Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with Thee. Blessed are Thou among women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
Take Care and God Bless, Sarah

Again, thank you. These next two weeks are very critical to our family. The next few months actually, but I'm trying to make it a bit smaller period of time so I can meander my way through it. My focus is just to get through and I look forward to the time when I can do more of the meaningful activities both family and spiritual and both together that I so ardently desire.

We are working though the moving stuff. It is quite hard, but little by little we are getting there. I had to stop quite a bit today because I was overwhelmed with the amount that needs to be done....but we did do a lot. Andy has to travel for four days for work and the movers come on Thursday....still preparing. I didn't realize we were such pack rats - so much junk. It's hard to part with things that have memories attached, but gosh if you kept everything, you'd never fit in a house let alone an apartment like we are going to....
Andy started working out today, so hopefully he will be able to lose the 60 pounds he needs to, to go on the insulin pump. He started taking his cholesterol medicine, and actually counted his weight watcher points today.
Still feeling stressed to the max, but we are making it and I'm looking forward to the big light at the end of the tunnel - having real family time at last. It is hard to teach not because I feel guilty going to work, as I think the girls are doing great with a sitter that loves them.... but having to correct and plan everyday on top of the time spent at school.... especially when it comes to essays that need to be done but take me so long to correct because I don't believe in just slapping a grade on there.... that stuff interrupts my prayer and family life and I'm just looking forward to slowing down a bit.... and taking in the real meaningful events of life....
But that magical time seems so far away when I look around and see piles of things that still need to be sorted....papers that need to be corrected.... clothes that need to be folded (and I dont' mean just a few).... so thank you for the prayers.... I do feel Jesus' presence, which is a wonderful thing. Can't take that for granted..... and I think you guys are partially responsible for that from your prayers. So thank you so much. It helps.
Just an update. You remain in my prayers as well. Tee, Cookie, Gaby.... how are your intentions going?
LOL Sarah

Hi Sarah.
Glad to hear your husband is taking steps to manage his health. That is really great to here. It sounds like you are making real headway with the moving. One day at a time.
Still looking for gainful employment. I pray for God to give me the spirit of clarity, discernment in both my professional life and personal life. Otherwise, things are good.
You are in my prayers. Keep me posted. |

Great picture Maurice. And thank you for the prayers. I totally appreciate them. Gaby - good to hear from you. (and nice picture too!) Thanks for your prayers. I am happy for the steps Andy is taking, but I hope he sticks to them. He doesn't have all that much discipline right now....we are starting to pray for it again.... I'm hoping that he's right, and that when we make the final move and all is said and done, he'll have more time because the traveling bit will be over. I put you on my list of intentions for the Pope's Mass on Thursday, Gaby! Hang in there my friend. Tony, Tony, come around. A job for Gaby is lost and must be found! Please help her find something that fits her needs and God's will St. Anthony! Please!
Take care all. LOL.
