Getting excited the Pope will be here in a couple of weeks. Especially coming to my area of Washington DC--for at least part of the time. Heard today my Papal Mass tickets will be sent out this week.
But, I hear from more and more people not sharing my enthusiasm??
Cafeteria-catholics, liberals, and non-catholics aside, I hear when is Pope coming, where will he be? Even a fellow 'Good Men' looked perplexed when I asked him the other day if he was ready for the Pope's visit? A confused 'yeah' response??
I was at the Shrine yesterday and I asked the gift store guy selling Pope souvenirs if he was all set for the Pope's visit and of course he was, but he had no idea the Pope was coming there for a Mass?
Shouldn't news and impending visit of the Holy Father to the US be important news--at least of some spiritual value?
