Yesterday, an 8.0-8.3 earthquake hit near Samoa, causing four 20-foot tsunamis. Over 99 people were killed.
Soon after, a 7.9 earthquake hit northwestern Sumatra. While there were no tsunamis with this earthquake, it killed over 75 people, mainly due to landslides and collapsing buildings.
Today, there was a 6.3 earthquake in Peru. I have no further information on that at this time.
