3 John 1:2
Thank you Lord that it is written that it is good that they prosper and be in health just as their souls prosper. In the name of Jesus Christ

Hi
I thought I would share this with you. I know there are many skeptical people when it comes to word of faith claims but I have seen God’s word work and I choose to stand by His word. I do not believe in what I see feel or hear, I only believe in Gods mighty word and will not listen to anything which contradicts His word for us. His word is nutrition for my soul and for my body. Thank you Jesus. So I thought you might like to accompany me on this part of my journey of faith concerning the business owned by me and my wife.
A little history first: After working many years in a metal stamping business I had the opportunity to open a plant in Mexico. Our largest customer had moved their assembly plants to Mexico and requested all of their suppliers follow them down so as to shorten the supply chain. Well we didn’t follow them and as a result we lost several millions of dollars worth of sales to a competitor. We were still doing a significant amount of business with this customer but we were shipping from Chicago. About two years later the customer did a reverse auction. For those of you with experience in reverse auctions, I feel your pain. A reverse auction works by putting all your material requirements on an internet bid site and anyone interested in the work makes a bid on what they are willing to accept as payment in exchange for the work. We were forced to participate because the customer represented about 80% of our business. Bids came in from all over the world. Most of the bids were for less than the cost of the material required to do the job. (Really). At the end of the auction the customer came to us with the lowest bid. (Really) They asked us to match the quote, after a reality negotiation about material costs we arrived at an acceptable margin, not really but it was the best we could do. Our margins were cut to less than 6% of material cost. Basically that means you need to make 20 parts for free if you make 1 reject. Before the auction we were around a 30% margin. Part of the bid included a commitment from us to move closer to the customer’s assembly plant. We accepted, but the plan was to stall until we could liquidate and call it a day. On a lark I was asked to go to AZ and Mexico to see if any opportunities existed. I was pleased to find some because at that time I was only an employee. After many discussions I was able to get support from the CEO and plans were made to start a new company in Mexico. Part of the plan included an eventual partnership for me. In the fourth year of business the partnership portion of agreement had yet to materialize. You know the story, lawyers, accountants, nothing happened. Also about this time my wife and I had been born again and were really moving along on our journey of faith. One of the sermons our pastor gave really impressed my wife. He said we were to lay our concerns at the foot of the cross and ask Jesus to take care of us. My wife took it literally. So we took the preliminary contract for partnership (we were working on for over 4 years) and literally placed it under the cross of Jesus and prayed for Him to help us. In less than 2 months the deal was done. But….. not the way we had envisioned it. Instead of being partners, we started a new company and purchased all the assets of the old company. Now we are the sole owners of our business thanks be to God.
During the past three years we have prayed, tithed and thanked God for what He has given to us. We asked Him to make the business profitable and He has. The first thing He did was get our biggest customer to leave. Yes, leave. Our biggest customer was also the least profitable and was causing losses. Then He brought us a new customer and this new customer actually opens their vendor conference with prayer. Amazing. Now you are up to date.
As you know the news media is trying to scare everyone into the idea we are in a recession, this tactic has caused many people to stop buying big ticket items such as cars. A large portion of our business is in automotive so we need car sales. During prayer a friend of ours got a message from God. He said we are to be obedient. He also said we were to march around our business 7 times just like Jericho! Ok, so today the management team of 7 marched around the building 7 times and recited scripture for protection and prosperity.

For most of you, this is probably way out there. Think about the picture of Jesus in your church, I trust in you Jesus. I’ll keep you posted on the next development.

John - Chapter 3

1 There was one of the Pharisees called Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews,

2 who came to Jesus by night and said, 'Rabbi, we know that you have come from God as a teacher; for no one could perform the signs that you do unless God were with him.'

3 Jesus answered: In all truth I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.

Where is the verse you quoted ? Would love to see it in context.

My bad ....This is the right one......Still do not see the Theology you are trying to take from this.

3 John - Chapter 1

1 From the Elder: greetings to my dear friend Gaius, whom I love in truth.

2 My dear friend, I hope everything is going happily with you and that you are as well physically as you are spiritually.

3 It was a great joy to me when some brothers came and told of your faithfulness to the truth, and of your life in the truth.

4 It is always my greatest joy to hear that my children are living according to the truth.

5 My dear friend, you have done loyal work in helping these brothers, even though they were strangers to you.

6 They are a proof to the whole Church of your love and it would be a kindness if you could help them on their journey as God would approve.

7 It was entirely for the sake of the name that they set out, without depending on the non-believers for anything:

8 it is our duty to welcome people of this sort and contribute our share to their work for the truth.

9 I have written a note for the members of the church, but Diotrephes, who enjoys being in charge of it, refuses to accept us.

10 So if I come, I shall tell everyone how he has behaved, and about the wicked accusations he has been circulating against us. As if that were not enough, he not only refuses to welcome our brothers, but prevents from doing so other people who would have liked to, and expels them from the church.

11 My dear friend, never follow a bad example, but keep following the good one; whoever does what is right is from God, but no one who does what is wrong has ever seen God.

12 Demetrius has been approved by everyone, and indeed by Truth itself. We too will vouch for him and you know that our testimony is true.

quote:
God's original intent for mankind was that they should live a blessed life.

Then Eve did her thing ......And The Father said......

14 Then Yahweh God said to the snake, "Because you have done this, Accursed be you of all animals wild and tame! On your belly you will go and on dust you will feed as long as you live.

15 I shall put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; it will bruise your head and you will strike its heel."

16 To the woman he said: I shall give you intense pain in childbearing, you will give birth to your children in pain.Your yearning will be for your husband, and he will dominate you.

17 To the man he said, "Because you listened to the voice of your wife and ate from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat, Accursed be the soil because of you! Painfully will you get your food from it as long as you live.

18 It will yield you brambles and thistles,as you eat the produce of the land.

19 By the sweat of your face will you earn your food, until you return to the ground,as you were taken from it. For dust you are and to dust you shall return."

Its all about the Cross Brother ......We will get the warm fuzzes if we accept the Cross.

True Adam and Eve messed. They gave away their blessing to Satan. But Adams mistake did not change God’s plan.
Genesis 9
1 And God announced a blessing upon Noah and his sons and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.
8 Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
9 Behold, I establish My covenant or pledge with you and with your descendants after you
It is all about God's plan for us. Jesus came as part of God's plan, He became the curse for us. Praise God.

Look what the Holy Spirit gave to me this morning....... Read it all ...and in context.

Hebrews - Chapter 12

1 With so many witnesses in a great cloud all around us, we too, then, should throw off everything that weighs us down and the sin that clings so closely, and with perseverance keep running in the race which lies ahead of us.

2 Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, who leads us in our faith and brings it to perfection: for the sake of the joy which lay ahead of him, he endured the cross, disregarding the shame of it, and has taken his seat at the right of God's throne.

3 Think of the way he persevered against such opposition from sinners and then you will not lose heart and come to grief.

4 In the fight against sin, you have not yet had to keep fighting to the point of bloodshed. God's fatherly instruction

5 Have you forgotten that encouraging text in which you are addressed as sons? My son, do not scorn correction from the Lord, do not resent his training,

6 for the Lord trains those he loves, and chastises every son he accepts.

7 Perseverance is part of your training; God is treating you as his sons. Has there ever been any son whose father did not train him?

8 If you were not getting this training, as all of you are, then you would be not sons but bastards.

9 Besides, we have all had our human fathers who punished us, and we respected them for it; all the more readily ought we to submit to the Father of spirits, and so earn life.

10 Our human fathers were training us for a short life and according to their own lights; but he does it all for our own good, so that we may share his own holiness.

11 Of course, any discipline is at the time a matter for grief, not joy; but later, in those who have undergone it, it bears fruit in peace and uprightness.

12 So steady all weary hands and trembling knees

13 and make your crooked paths straight; then the injured limb will not be maimed, it will get better instead. Unfaithfulness is punished

14 Seek peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one can ever see the Lord.

15 Be careful that no one is deprived of the grace of God and that no root of bitterness should begin to grow and make trouble; this can poison a large number.

16 And be careful that there is no immoral person, or anyone worldly minded like Esau, who sold his birthright for one single meal.

17 As you know, when he wanted to obtain the blessing afterwards, he was rejected and, though he pleaded for it with tears, he could find no way of reversing the decision.

18 What you have come to is nothing known to the senses: not a blazing fire, or gloom or total darkness, or a storm;

19 or trumpet-blast or the sound of a voice speaking which made everyone that heard it beg that no more should be said to them.

20 They could not bear the order that was given: If even a beast touches the mountain, it must be stoned.

21 The whole scene was so terrible that Moses said, 'I am afraid and trembling.'

22 But what you have come to is Mount Zion and the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem where the millions of angels have gathered for the festival,

23 with the whole Church of first-born sons, enrolled as citizens of heaven. You have come to God himself, the supreme Judge, and to the spirits of the upright who have been made perfect;

24 and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to purifying blood which pleads more insistently than Abel's.

25 Make sure that you never refuse to listen when he speaks. If the people who on earth refused to listen to a warning could not escape their punishment, how shall we possibly escape if we turn away from a voice that warns us from heaven?

26 That time his voice made the earth shake, but now he has given us this promise: I am going to shake the earth once more and not only the earth but heaven as well.

27 The words once more indicate the removal of what is shaken, since these are created things, so that what is not shaken remains.

28 We have been given possession of an unshakeable kingdom. Let us therefore be grateful and use our gratitude to worship God in the way that pleases him, in reverence and fear.

29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Yes, thank you Jesus. Your death was not in vain. Thank you for becoming the curse, thank you for restoring God’s blessing upon us. We did not earn your gift but we freely accept what your sacrifice has provided for us. We accept your gift of the blessing, abundant life, for body, soul, and spirit.

Well here is the next development in our business saga.
Last week I attended a prayer meeting and one of the participants got a word for me from God. He said be patient and trust in Him.
Have you been watching the news? The U.S. dollar is down. This is becoming a problem because many of the raw materials we use are going up. In particular steel has increased by 50%. Many of the steel producers have lower demand in the U.S. but higher demand from Europe and China. Consumer confidence is low so many people are postpone large ticket purchases. Our largest customer has decided to bring some of work back to their plant due to the slow down. We are bidding on many new jobs and we are confident the Lord will provide. We fulfill our commitments to the Lord and we have faith in Him. Thank you Lord for the new business opportunities you will send our way. Thank you for prospering us in every way. Thank you for giving us the wisdom needed to prosper in times of uncertainty. We ask you bless our competitors, our vendors, our employees and us. Lord, remember your people and your promise. We praise you for your glory, Father Son, and Holy Spirit.

We continue to make headway with prospecting new customers trimming expenses and recruiting competent sales people.
Satan continues to temp us with all sorts of unethical situations. As part of cost reductions we eliminated one shift. This means we had to let go a night shift supervisor. In Mexico severance must be paid to terminated employees according to a seniority formula. Our labor provider tried to short the employee his severance. Their claim of negotiating a smaller severance to save us money was nothing but a dishonest ploy to make a larger profit. The temptation was great and we could have saved thousands of dollars, but we are commanded specifically in this matter.
Deuteronomy 24:15
" You shall give him his wages on his day before the sun sets, for he is poor and sets his heart on it; so that he will not cry against you to the LORD and it become sin in you.
Lord we thank you for your Grace to overcome temptation and to do what is right according to your word.
This past month we added a person to act as project manager, it is our hope this will aid in the transfer of business to BMS in a smooth and orderly way. This past week the Lord put a very competent person in my path to interview for a sales position.
As fuel prices rise, our proximity to our customers becomes more important, this may work to our advantage.
Deuteronomy 28:8
Thank you Lord that You have commanded the blessing upon BMS our employees and on our storehouse and all that we undertake. In the name of Jesus Christ.

I have been playing phone tag with our Pastor for a few days now. Monday night we finally connected. We are building a new church and he wanted to discuss the pledge my wife and I promised. We talked for about half an hour so I could clarify our 2 year obligation. My wife and I prayed about this and we feel strongly about not extending any pledges for a period of more than two years. As I explained this I could feel The Holy Spirit confirm. We are currently finishing our second year so we were allowed to extend our monthly contribution for another year. We must be obedient I explained. Well Pastor was fine with all of that and the conversation changed to me, asking him to help us pray for our company, to secure a specific client we were presenting to in two weeks. He agreed. On Tuesday I had a meeting with our sales rep to discuss the upcoming presentation. During the meeting the prospective client called and said they needed to see us right away. Thank you Jesus. Mark 11:23 Thank you Lord that BMS and our employees will have what we say and say what we want . In the name of Jesus Christ.

Ok, so once again the Lord has come to protect us from thieves. Each day we begin our management meeting by pleading the sacred blood of Jesus over the company and its employees for protection against evil. This week an employee stole material off a truck and sold it. His actions were immediately brought into the light and He resigned.
Mark 11:23 Thank you Lord that BMS and our employees will have what we say and say what we want . In the name of Jesus Christ
We have been looking for a new surveillance system and this week we found one at a greatly reduced price.

Deuteronomy 28:8

Thank you Lord that You have commanded the blessing upon BMS our employees and on our storehouse and all that we undertake. In the name of Jesus Christ.

We attended a trade conference this week and we found two new vendors. We were also invited to make a presentation with two potential clients.

Deuteronomy 28:3
Thank you Lord for blessing BMS in the office, on the production floor and in our customers places of business. In the name of Jesus Christ.

Lord we ask you to bless our enemies and competitors by sending them your Holy Spirit to lead them to repentance and conversion.

Several months ago, one of our good customers requested we use a certain vendor for raw material. Historically this vendor has had a higher price than our other vendors; the vendor has also been very unwilling to do business with us. I later learned that the vendor was working with our customer and trying to get our business transferred to one of our competitors. Rather than curse the vendor or competitor we choose to send them blessings. “I will curse those who curse you and I will bless those who bless you”. This past week I learned that our customer has pulled about 50% of their work from the vendor we chose to bless.

It came to me that many Catholic voters chose Obama because of his promise to fix the economy even though they knew about the pro-death policies of the Democratic national platform. . Many justify their vote saying a bad economy is detrimental to the health and well being of children so voting Democratic is way of voting for prolife socioeconomic values. This is a classic example why the church needs to preach prosperity through Christ. Most Catholics look at prosperity as something not from God. Wrong! Psalm 75:5-7 says clearly it is God who promotes and prospers us. If more Catholics understood it was God who prospers them maybe they would be less likely to offend him by electing leaders not instep with His will.
That said, we are still here and prospering. By all worldly economic standards I should be looking for a different line of work. Thank you Lord: My promotion, my harvest, my blessing, does not come from the east or the west or the south. My lifting up comes from my Father in heaven. He has blessed me in Christ Jesus. Never let it be said that any man promoted me but the God of Abraham. Nothing in this world order can hold me back or arrest my harvest. In the Name of Jesus Christ. (From KCM)

Dear Barbaqued,

I came across this scripture while reading thru the Bible in a year. I think you will really appreciate it. "How blest is the man who fears the Lord; he knows where to look for support. The Lord keeps watch over those who love Him, their strong shield and firm support, a shelter from scorching wind and midday heat, a safeguard against stumbles and falls. He raises the spirits and makes the eyes sparkle, giving health, and life and blessing. Ecclesiasticus 34:15-17

Well so far so good, many have fallen but we continue to prosper. Praise be to God.
